Pinewood Derby 2004

March 27th 2004 Bethany Methodist Church 6:00 PM

 

Thursday March 25th 2004
6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Spicewood Elem.
Check in of all cars to compete in race must be done between 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Cars not checked in by the official check in time will not be eligible for judging or awards.  
   
2:00 (Den 5 coordinates) Set-up begins. Track will be set-up in the middle of the room. Risers to be placed behind track. Tires with Pennant flags around the track as a barrier. Steve Jellison will set up on either side of the stage. Some stuff around the entry area for decorations.
 
 
 
5:15                                Race volunteers need to arrive, as well as Boy Scout volunteers that are going to judge the race. Volunteers will help organize cars, and assist with conveying information to Steve for the winner of the heat.
 
 
 
5:45   Doors Open
6:00 Race begins. Cubmaster welcome. Pledge and announcements. Family Campout, etc.

 

 
 
6:15 - 6:30 Pizza arrives (Den 3 coordinates)
8:00 – 8:30 Derby should be concluding. Award of trophies & ribbons. Cubmaster close, thanks everyone for coming.
(Think it would be a good idea to close with the Cub Scout Promise, Law or Motto)
